6 simple rules: how to dress in the city so as not to die from the heat

On the street plus 30. The air compresses in a hot embrace. Sweat hail. All thoughts are about one thing: where is the treasured source of cold water, and what clothes are not hot in summer. In order not to die from high temperatures, let’s figure out what clothes should be for a hot summer.

The dress

The choice of summer clothes is not only an emotion and a desire to decorate yourself, but also a thoughtful approach – how to protect yourself from overheating and find the desired comfort, which you should pay attention to when buying summer clothes. So, 6 simple rules.

1. Clothes in the heat: natural material
No matter how beautiful a dress made of polyester is, in summer it is the enemy of comfort: synthetic fabric does not breathe well, is highly electrified, heats up and can even cause allergic reactions. It is best to focus on natural breathable fabrics such as cotton and linen. Linen has unsurpassed properties: it can regulate the body’s heat balance, that is, cool when it’s hot. Also, clothes for a hot summer can be sewn from viscose – a fiber made from cellulose made from natural raw materials. Viscose is durable in wear, retains color and brightness, is pleasant to the touch and very plastic.
2. Clothes in the heat: free form
The natural desire in summer is to open as much of the body as possible and emphasize the charms of the figure. However, skinny jeans and a tiny, skin-tight sundress are far less comfortable than loose-fitting pieces. The less things touch the body, the nicer and cooler it is in the heat; this is due to air circulation. What clothes are not hot in summer? In an airy tunic dress, in palazzo trousers or culottes made of light fabric, in linen flared bermuda shorts, in a loose top with thin straps …

3. Clothes in the heat: light shades
Clothing for a hot summer involves light shades: white, cream, lemon yellow, sorbet and pastel colors. Why light tones are preferable – physics simply explains. Light colors reflect visible light, so they absorb little energy and therefore heat up less. Dark shades, on the contrary, actively absorb heat, absorb a lot of energy and contribute to the heating of clothes. What clothes are not hot in summer? In clothes of white color, as well as any light shade.

4. Clothes in the heat: thin underwear
When it’s +30 outside, even underwear can be associated with a hot frying pan. It is better to refuse bras with padded cups, intricate straps and rich decor. The best options for summer underwear are a bra with soft cups, an exquisite bralette (without inserts and underwires), a bandeau or balconette without straps, and a VN-top made of cotton jersey.

5. Clothing in the heat: open shoes
In the heat, we decisively take off sneakers and loafers and move into sandals, flip flops and sandals. The main criterion in choosing summer shoes is convenience: so that the straps do not rub, the insole is soft, and the sole is with a shock absorber. Moccasins and espadrilles are acceptable for closed shoes. Espadrilles made of breathable linen fabric with jute soles are perfect shoes for hot summer.

6. Clothing in the heat: a straw hat
It is subtly noted that a hat for a woman is a halo of happiness. There is no reason to take off your halo in the hot summer. A straw hat protects from the sun and adds style. Boater, panama hat, Fyodor’s hat – they will tell more from you than you yourself, besides, they will cool your face and head.
